BMW M60B40 engine

Let’s take a closer look at the technical characteristics of the M60B40. Production of BMW M60B40 engine began in 1992, and in 1998 it came to its logical conclusion. The material for the cylinder block was again aluminum and the injector power system allowed to adjust the work of the power unit. The V-shaped construction was no surprise to anyone, eight cylinders made it possible to feel the power of the M60B40 engine every time. Each of these cylinders had four valves, which consistently performed their work. The piston stroke here was exactly 80 millimeters, but the cylinder diameter increased to 89 millimeters. The compression ratio of 10 helped to realize all tasks. The volume of this engine is equal to 4.0 liters. Its power at 5800 rpm will be 286 horsepower.
